Parent-Teacher Conferences are this week, from Tuesday, 10/8/2019 to Friday, 10/11/2019. School will be dismissed daily at 12:30pm during conference week.

The Warden School District would like to invite WSD staff, students, and parents to the 2019 Warden School District Open House. The Open House will be held on Monday, September 9th from 5pm-to 7pm.

Lockdown & Drill Information
The Warden Schools transitioned to Secure and Teach January 28, 2019 at 11:20 AM by request of the Warden Police Department. An erratic driver southbound on highway 17 failed to yield to a Grant County sheriff. As a precaution, the Warden Police requested Secure and Teach to move students who might have been outside to indoors in case the driver continued into the City of Warden. When the car continued south past the turn for Highway 170, the Warden Police cancelled the request for Secure and Teach at 11:24 AM. The car subsequently ran off the road and the driver was treated for a medical condition.

The Warden School District practiced a pre-planned drill reviewing Secure and Teach procedures on January 18, 2019 at 9:05 AM. Staff secured the buildings and accounted for students. Schools were released out of the drill after 15 minutes.

Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:15 AM the Warden School District initiated a planned shelter-in-place drill for all students.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2018 an unplanned fire alarm caused an evacuation of all buildings. The alarm was false and all students and staff returned back to the buildings.

On October 18, 2018 at 8:50 AM, The Warden Schools participated in the national Great Shakeout which promotes practicing earthquake drills. The staff and students successfully practiced the drill, including simulated door blockages upon evacuation of the buildings.

The Warden Schools performed a practice file drill on September 11, 2018 with all students accounted for orderly and efficiently.

The Warden Schools experienced a fire drill at 10:39 AM on June 7, 2018 when a fire alarm was pulled in the middle school. The alarm was false.

On June 5, 2018 at 1:53 PM the Warden School District was contacted by law enforcement to initiate a campus wide lock down. Law enforcement was in pursuit of a suspect who was off-campus and headed towards the schools. Law enforcement was able to arrest the suspect in the City of Warden. Students were released from lock down at 2:15 PM.

The Warden Secondary School had a Community Outreach visit from Deputy Philips and his K-9 partner Garrett on May 30, 2018 at 10:15 AM. The schools did not lock down during their visit.

The Warden School District practiced a pre-planned Evacuation drill on May 29, 2018 at 2:40 PM.

The Warden School District practiced a pre-planned evacuation drill on April 19, 2018 at 2:30 PM.

The Warden School District initiated a precautionary lockdown on February 27, 2018 at 12:45 PM. The district moved to a modified lockdown when it was determined there was no danger on or near the campus. The schools conducted a controlled student release at the end of the school day.

Warden Campus, Elementary, Middle and High Schools practiced a shelter in place drill on 1/31/2018 at 2:30.

Warden Middle School & Warden High School initiated a Lockdown Drill during fifth period on 1/25/17 while Deputy Philips and his drug dog visited our campus.
