Superintendent
Mr. Scott West
I’m honored and thrilled to serve as the Superintendent for Warden School District. During my 22-year journey in education, I have taught in the Mattawa and Moses Lake communities. Additionally, I served as an elementary and middle school principal for both the Warden and Moses Lake school districts. These positions have provided invaluable experiences for professional growth. I am fortunate to have been mentored by well-respected colleagues and have benefitted from the support and encouragement of family, friends, and coworkers along the way. I embrace the upcoming challenges and learning opportunities that serving as Warden's next Superintendent will provide.
Warden is a hidden gem in the heart of Washington that attracts students and staff from neighboring communities such as Moses Lake, Othello, Lind, Connell, and Royal City. Similar to other districts, Warden has many upcoming challenges as we strive to overcome the impacts of COVID. Addressing unfinished learning and meeting the individual needs of students will be our greatest challenges going forward, but the district has what it takes. District staff remain committed to refine and implement support systems for our most prized resources... our students!
As Superintendent, I anticipate thoughtful collaboration with district staff and the community to inspire a culture of universal achievement necessary for student success. Furthermore, I look forward to strengthening trusting relationships with the School Board, leadership team, district staff, students, families, and community. THANK YOU to the Warden community and GO COUGARS!
