EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

Warden School District benefits are offered through SEBB - School Employee Benefits Board.
 
 

Who is eligible for benefits:

You are eligible for SEBB benefits if you are anticipated to work at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31).

VEBA HEALTH REIMBURSEMENT ARRANGEMENT (HRA)
 
  • Unused sick leave will be deposited into your VEBA    account in accordance with WAC 392-136-020 at retirement.
 
HEALTH REIMBURSEMENT ARRANGEMENT (HRA) offered by VEBA Trust
 
The most common funding source is unused sick leave cash out funds at retirement and/or separation from service or annual sick leave contributions if you do not use sick leave days and have accumulated one hundred and eighty (180) days (or more if eligible). 
 
PAID TIME OFF
  • Sick  Leave:  Eleven  (11)  days leave allowance to be used  for  personal  illness,  injury,  emergencies  and family illness in accordance with RCW 28A-400-300.
  • Personal Leave: three (3) days each year. A maximum of six (6) days may be carried over to the next school year.
  • Other Leave:
    • Bereavement  - up to five (5) days with pay per occurrence because of death in the family.
    • Jury Duty - Leave for purposes of serving on a jury shall be granted. Such leave will be paid but will not affect an employee’s accrued personal or sick leave account.
 
PAID TIME OFF
  • Sick  Leave:  Ten  (10)  days  leave  allowance to be used   for  personal  illness,  injury,  emergencies  and family illness.
  • Personal Leave: three (3) days of personal leave with pay each year. Unused personal leave days, to a maximum of six (6) may be carried into the following school year
  • Vacation  (for  employees  whose  work  schedule  is 260 days per year).   During the first year of employment, full-time employees receive one (1) day vacation  credit  for  each  month  worked,  or  major portion thereof, to a maximum of ten (10) days.
  • Other Leave:
    • Bereavement  -  up  to five (5) days with pay per occurrence because of death in the family.
    • Jury Duty - Leave for purposes of serving on a jury shall be granted. Such leave will be paid but will not affect an employee’s accrued personal or sick leave account.
    • Holidays  -  Year round employees  shall receive the following paid holidays that fall within their work year. Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King's Birthday, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth,  Independence  Day,  Labor  Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Day before Christmas, Christmas Day, Day after Christmas.
